Felix found that wherever he looked the biggest opportunities and the future of true profitability always laid in thinking sustainably. Only by understanding your effect on the world and world’s effect on you can you truly seize those opportunities and manage your risks.
Felix has worked across all areas of commercial sustainability, nearly a decade of which was at Tesco PLC. He started his career gaining planning consents and delivering 800,000 sq. ft. of the world’s most sustainable supermarkets. This involved significant political and community engagement to bring new design and technologies to fruition which led to the world’s first Zero Carbon Supermarket. Felix then published the Tesco PLC Corporate Responsibility Report for two years, both of which won awards. He also held the specific portfolios for Human Rights and Animal Welfare in the Tesco supply chain. Felix also gained commercial experience moving into the procurement team running the Tesco customer recycling offer and latterly leading the consumables buying team with an annual spend of £100m.
After leaving Tesco, Felix worked on energy efficiency initiatives in the Middle East and advising on sustainable development in the UK.
Felix has overall responsibility for leading our business development strategy and implementation, also serving as advisor to the chief executive. He has a particular focus on the macro trends that affect businesses and their operations. He also has a keen eye for the delivery and implementation of Sustainability and ESG Strategies.
Felix is a member of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)’s Circular Economy Reference Group which seeks to build investor awareness of the links between circular economy solutions and climate and nature goals for key value chains and to obtain investor feedback on priority value chains for circular economy.
