Founded in 1997 by former Secretary of State for the Environment, Lord Deben (The Rt Hon. John Gummer), Sancroft is a London and Washington DC based sustainability consultancy. We help some of the world’s biggest brands improve their ethical, environmental and social performance. Sancroft’s clients include The Coca-Cola Company, Primark, John Lewis and Nestlé.

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious, talented senior consultant to join the growing team in London, working closely with our team in the US. Your focus is on business development, high-quality service delivery, team development, creative thinking and effective storytelling.

You will take a lead in business development and the management of our client portfolios. You will be pivotal in ensuring work is delivered at an outstanding level of quality, on time and to budget. This is where we will see your exceptional skills in team management coming into play, mobilising and motivating colleagues, and mentoring and inspiring their work.

In this leadership role, you will be networking and profile raising through events and initiatives and working closely with our communications and marketing team to host our own events and roundtables throughout the year. As a senior member of the team, you will be assisting colleagues in delivering existing client work and support Sancroft’s thought leadership position through knowledge sharing internally and innovative thought leadership externally.

Inputting into the broader business, you will be working with the Chief Exec in shaping and planning Sancroft’s strategy to win new profitable clients and create a robust business for the future.

Measures of success

Thought leadership: Helping to drive Sancroft’s brand and profile as a centre of excellence in sustainability, to the benefit of our clients. Management: Line manage professional development of at least two colleagues. New business development: Meeting your specific annual target of income per year and supporting Sancroft’s thought leadership position. Strategy and planning; Participate in Sancroft’s Executive Committee process to implement the business strategy at a practical level.
